One of the most important things to keep in mind about your pet rat is that if it ever does not feel well, it will more than likely go hide. Like many small creatures, rats like to be alone when they do not feel well, so it may be hard to locate your pet if it is not feeling the best. In addition to their propensity to hide when not feeling well, rats also try to conceal any sickness they may be having by trying to act normal.
